HPS/HP are the clergy ultimately responsible for the spiritual leadership of the
coven and its members. A change in the spiritual leadership of the coven may be
addressed by the members of the coven in the manner indicated in the most
current entry in the coven’s Book of Shadows. Active members who wish to study with the
goal of obtaining a higher degree of knowledge may approach any COTES
Priest/Priestess to request a mentor. Term of
Appointment The
levels of Adept, Priest/Priestess, High Priestess/High Priest are granted for
life. Once an individual member of the Coven has been recognized as
demonstrating the appropriate level of knowledge, and initiated into that level,
they assume the rights and responsibilities accompanying the office. All
initiated members are granted the title of respect appointed to that office, and
will behave in the expected manner of a representative of the coven as outlined
in the most recent document in the coven’s Book of
Shadows.
Collectives: All active members may explore opportunities to assume the responsibility of any of the temple offices by approaching a current Collective. The number of members for each office is determined by the current demands of the position. Initiation into a level of the coven is not a requirement of a temple Collective. Advancements, ordinations, code of
conduct, titles of respect, and initiations will continue to be detailed in the
Coven of The Enchanted Star Book of Shadows. The most recent entry is the
current doctrine. The Book of Shadows includes, but is not limited to,
details on the process of assuring the coven continues to have administrative
and spiritual leadership. Records of initiations and appointments
to the offices of the Collectives will be maintained in the coven’s Book of
Shadows. This document has been drafted and approved by the Founders of The Coven of The Enchanted Star on December 2, 2007. |
