Coven Of The Enchanted Star$Beltaine 2008

Coven of The Enchanted Star presents
Beltaine 2008 concert & Campout
May 16-18
Featuring
Spiral Dance Band!
“…songs of magic, myth and legend…”

"Multi-award winning group Spiral Dance, based in Adelaide, has been playing rousing, high-energy music to enthusiastic audiences throughout Australia for over a decade. With a combination of haunting vocals, evocative fiddle, intoxicating guitar riffs and groovy accordion lines, underpinned with potent bass and dynamic percussion, the band presents an eclectic blend of traditional folk-rock with powerful self-penned songs and tunes. Enchanting melodies intertwine with mythical tales that are sure to captivate your soul, tease your mind and steal your heart, casting your spirit into the realms of magic and the mists of ancient time."
May 17th Spiral Dance will be performing in Pipe Creek, Bandera County, Texas for the COTES Beltaine celebration! COTES will be the only San Antonio area venue for Spiral Dance during this tour of the USA and we are excited at all the plans being made by the committee.
Tickets for the concert will be only $10.00 per person (this is not a type-o!) and limited to parking availability . The band and COTES are in complete agreement that lowering ticket prices makes it possible to put the concert in reach of everyone, and "the more the merrier". We don't want to leave anyone out of the music and dancing and are making the plans for the concert/campout as low cost as possible using fund raisers to defer a large portion of the costs.
The Beltaine festival will be concurrent with the Spiral Dance concert . Cost of the campout is $20.00 per person for the entire weekend and includes the concert! Camp with us in a rustic environment Friday and Saturday nights (May 16-18, 2008) Tickets for the Concert may be purchased separately to accommodate those who don't want to miss Spiral Dance's performance but are unable to take advantage of the spectacular Festival plans.
There is vendor space available at very, very reasonable prices, so vendors....start stocking up on your items! We will be looking for food vendors for the day/evening of the concert.
The Pagan Youth group will have a beverage booth available during the campout to raise money for their activities. Please visit these young pagans as they work hard and provide this service to you!
Please watch for COTES fund raisers and participate to the extent you are able. The fund raisers are an effort to raise money painlessly. All , yes ALL the money is being spent to lower prices for events that we can't do without spending money, as well as supporting the 501c3 to get tax deductions for donations.

Reviews

"…a class act both live and recorded…"
"…the band’s style is definitely rooted well within the realms of Celtic folk music, but has plenty of other influences giving it a unique edge and breath of modern air while still retaining the familiarity of traditional sounds. Their instrumentation includes accordions, flutes, mandolins and even hurdy-gurdy, adding tremendous depth to an already well-rounded sound. The Quickening…is the fifth release for the band…as soon as Adrienne’s Piggott’s enchanting vocals reach your ears, you’re taken on a mystical, wistful journey to the heart of Celtic folk music. The band has already won a swag of gongs at the South Australian Folk Music Awards, and one listen to this CD will tell you why; Spiral Dance are definitely deserving of every accolade received…"
