Initial workshops:
Wands: Wands will be created from the gifts that the land offers. We will discuss Fire energy and how to responsibly use a wand. Later, the wands will be used for casting the Magickal Circle.
Flying disks: Using lids and strong paper plates, flying disks will be used to create a representation of The Wheel of The Year. The Element Air will be discussed as well as the Wheel of the Year.
Brooms: Using gifts from the land brooms will be constructed. The Element Earth will be discussed as well as what it means to “sweep the circle clean”. The brooms will be used to clear the space for the Magickal Circle.
Water: A magick potion will be created using sugar magick and intent. The result will be a sweet drink charged with youth magick. We will talk about the element Water and intent in Magick.
Magick Circle: There will be future rituals beginning with the Magickal Youth casting a circle for everyone in attendance. The circle will consist of sweeping the space clear for magick (using their brooms!), casting the magick circle (using their wands!), a blessing to thank the land for her gifts, distributing the sugar magick they made in “potions” to all in attendance, and a circle closing. The Magickal Teens will be leading this circle for the Magickal Youth.
Mid-Afternoon Magick Games: During extended celebrations the Magickal Youth will have the opportunity to participate in magickal games.
Games
